Rubric
In Japanese: ルーブリック (rubrikku)
Definition
A rubric is an assessment standard laid out as a table of levels (the scale) and descriptions of what learning at each level looks like.
In more detail
The glossary of a 2012 Central Council for Education report describes it as a method, developed in the United States, for building learning-assessment criteria.
It suits work that scores alone assess poorly, such as reports, presentations and practical work, and helps assessors and students share the same view of the criteria.
Rubrics can be set for a whole programme, a course or a single assignment.
In Classio
Classio grades record everything from score entry per class to submission for review, approval, finalisation and locking.
