Job offer

In Japanese: 内定 (naitei)

Definition

A job offer (naitei) is an employer’s commitment to hire a student or other applicant, formally a “hiring offer”.

In more detail

Where an offer is found to have formed an employment contract, withdrawing it without an objectively reasonable cause that society would accept is void, like an unfair dismissal.

MHLW says withdrawals of offers to new graduates should be prevented as far as possible and asks employers to make efforts to avoid them.

School career support records each application through to an offer and the student’s acceptance, to know where students are heading.

In Classio

In Classio, Career support publishes job postings to students and tracks each application through to an offer and the student’s acceptance of it.
