In Approval flows (承認フロー) the school decides, for each kind of request, who approves and in which order. Administrators can change flows; academic administrators can view them.
Kinds without a school flow use Classio's standard flow (標準の流れ). For example, student record changes go to the head of studies and then the principal (administrator), and staff leave goes to an administrator or academic administrator. Make-up class, certificate, fee waiver and other requests started on Approvals (承認依頼) let the requester choose the approvers when the school has no flow.
Set a flow
Open Approval flows (承認フロー) in the Settings (設定) area.
Press Set a school flow (学校の流れを設定) or Edit (編集) for the kind of request. To use a different flow for a campus or department, press Set per campus or department (校舎・学科ごとに設定) and choose the scope.
For each step, choose the roles that can approve. To ask a specific person, use Named approver (承認者を指定); for someone who can approve in their place, use Delegate (代理承認者).
Optionally enter a Deadline (期限) in days. It counts from the day the step comes round (Japan time) and is shown on Approvals; the request does not move on by itself when it passes.
For fee waivers and other requests you can set Skip for requests below (この金額未満の申請では省略). When the requested amount is lower, that step is skipped.
Reorder steps with the up and down buttons or by dragging. Check the Preview (プレビュー), then press Save new version (新しい版を保存).
For student record changes, approvers can only be administrators and academic administrators. Administrators can still approve any step, as before.
Changes and history
Every save creates a new version. Requests in progress keep the flow of the version they started with.
History (履歴) shows earlier versions and their notes.
Use the standard flow (標準の流れに戻す) makes new requests use the standard flow. This is also kept as a version in the history.
You cannot approve your own request
In a school flow, the person who started a request can never approve or reject any of its steps. Your own requests are not listed among those waiting for your approval.
