The Setup guide (初期設定ガイド) walks a school that is starting with the driving school features through its setup in order. Open it from the card on the driving school home. If you close it, it opens where you left off.

StepWhat is checked
School and public safety commissionLesson rules (national baseline) are set; the prefecture the school reports to and its category (designated or notified)
Courses and periodsA course per licence class; the periods follow Appended Table 4 automatically
CarsCars in service that can be used for the courses' licence classes
Instructors and qualificationsAn instructor for every course licence class; examiners for designated schools
Period timetableTimes and length of each period
PricesCourse prices and the late-cancel, extra-lesson and exam-retake fees
First traineesMigration import (CSV) or an enrolment (can be skipped and done later)
  1. Pick a step in the list on the left.

  2. Open the screen to register the data (settings, cars, instructor qualifications and so on).

  3. Come back and press Mark this step done. Anything still missing is listed and the step cannot be marked done.

In the first step, Set up with the national rules creates the lesson rules at once. A change to the period timetable is a new rule version approved by a manager other than its author.

Administrators and academic administrators mark steps done. A finished step can be reopened.
