Each trainee has a training stage (教習の段階), shown in the trainee list and on the detail screen. The stage advances automatically as tests and checks are passed and lessons are recorded.
How stages progress

The provisional licence issue date is registered with Save provisional licence (仮免許を登録) under Actions (手続き) on the trainee's detail screen. Some licence types have no completion test or provisional written test.
Record a result
Open Tests and checks (検定・見極め) and find the trainee with Find a trainee to record (教習生を検索して記録).
Press Record a result (結果を記録).
Enter the type (mock test (効果測定), stage check, completion test, provisional written test or graduation test), date, instructor or examiner, vehicle used, score or deductions, result and remarks, then save.
Recorded results appear in the list with the attempt number (何回目) and can be filtered by period and type. Trainees are notified of results and can see them in Results (検定の結果) in My training (私の教習).
What is checked automatically
Eligibility for each test is checked automatically when you record it. If a condition is not met, the reason is shown and the result cannot be recorded. Examples include:
The completion test is taken after passing the Stage 1 check.
The provisional written test is taken after passing the completion test.
The graduation test is taken within the set period after lessons are completed (stage check passed).
Additional lessons are required before a retake.
Results cannot be recorded with a staff member who lacks the required qualification, or with a training vehicle that does not match the licence type.
As the screen explains, driving tests start from 100 points with deductions, and a result cannot be recorded as a pass unless it is 70 points or more.
If the trainee fails
If a completion test or graduation test is failed, the trainee is treated as awaiting a retake. If a retake fee is set in Settings (設定) and the number of retakes included in the training plan has been exceeded, an invoice for the retake fee is created.
