Teachers can enter class attendance in Attendance records (出席記録), or display a QR attendance code (QR出席コード) so that students check in themselves. Teachers can only work with the class sections they teach.
Enter one day
Open Attendance records (出席記録) in the Attendance (出席) area.
Choose the class section under Class (クラス). You can also choose from the list of today's classes.
Leaving Daily entry (日次入力) selected, move between days with < and >. Tap the date to pick it from a calendar.
Choose the Period (時限). The roster shows the attendance already recorded for that day and period.
In the Attendance record (出席記録) roster, choose each student's attendance status (Present, Late, Left early, Excused absence, Sick or Absent). On a phone each student has six buttons; tapping the chosen one again sets the student back to Not recorded. For absent, sick and left early, you can also choose an Absence type (欠席区分), such as bereavement, attendance suspension or hospitalization, if needed.
After marking only the absent and late students, press Mark the remaining N present (残りN名を出席に) to mark everyone still not recorded as present.
Press Save all (一括保存). The button cannot be pressed if no student has a status selected. On a phone it stays at the bottom of the screen while you scroll the roster.
Saving does not rewrite students you left unchanged, such as those who checked in by QR.
If you change the date, class or period, or try to leave the screen, while statuses are not saved, a confirmation appears.
If any students are still Not recorded (未記録), a confirmation showing "N not recorded" (未記録 N名) appears.
Save, leave unrecorded (未記録のまま保存): saves only the students who have a status selected. No records are created or changed for students who are not recorded.
Save as absent (欠席として保存): saves the students who are not recorded as absent.
Back (戻る): returns to the roster without saving.
Only students enrolled in that class section can be saved. Days for which monthly attendance certification is complete cannot be saved until certification is reopened. If a student with an approved excused absence request is saved as absent or sick, the record automatically becomes an excused absence (counted as attended).
Enter a whole week at once
After choosing the class, switch to Weekly entry (週次一括入力).
Use < and > next to the week to show the week you want.
Choose attendance statuses in each date column. All present (全員出席) in the column header marks everyone present for that day.
Press Save the week (週次一括保存) (for the period chosen above). Only days with changes are saved. If a changed day still has Not recorded cells, the same confirmation as daily entry appears (Save, leave unrecorded; Save as absent; Back). Weekly entry does not change absence types.
Take attendance with a QR code
Open QR attendance code (QR出席コード), choose the class section and period, and press Issue (発行).
Show the QR code on the classroom screen or similar, and have students scan it with their smartphone camera.
Attendance check-in (出席チェックイン) opens on the student's screen, and the student presses Check in (出席する). A student who is not signed in returns to this screen after signing in.
As check-ins arrive, the attended count on the screen goes up. You can also check attendance in Live attendance (リアルタイム出席).
A QR code is valid for 5 minutes. If you keep the QR attendance code screen open, it switches to a new code before the current one expires. Students who scan an expired code, or a code for a class they are not enrolled in, are told why. If you issued the code from Issue QR attendance code (QR出席コード発行) in Attendance records, you can also copy and share the URL for students who have trouble scanning.
QR attendance may not be available, depending on your plan or feature settings. In that case, enter attendance manually in Attendance records.
After recording
Students and guardians can check their own records in Attendance records and request a correction if something is wrong. Officially excused absences are handled through Excused absences (公欠申請). For how attendance rates are counted, see How attendance rates are counted, and attendance alerts.
The public demo is read-only. Its QR screen is a class-and-period preview; scanning the code cannot record attendance.
