  3. If you have trouble with roles

In Classio, each user has a role (役割(ロール)). Your role determines which pages appear in the menu and what you can do on them. Even on the same page, the tabs and buttons shown may differ by role. Your own role is shown under your name in the account menu at the top right of the screen.

RoleWhat it can generally do
Administrator (管理者)Handles settings and work for the whole school, including institution settings, users and roles, and the audit log.
Academic administrator (教務管理者)Handles student registration and enrollment changes, entering and approving attendance and grades, exporting reports, facility booking, and creating automation workflows. Mainly views the Settings area.
Registrar (学籍担当)Handles student registration and enrollment changes, approving attendance and grades, and exporting reports.
Admissions (入試担当)Handles applicant management, admission decisions and exporting reports.
Finance (経理担当)Handles fee invoicing, payments, refunds, closing and reconciliation.
Executive (経営層)Views the status of the whole school and the audit log. Generally does not change records.
Facilities (施設担当)Handles booking and approval of facilities and equipment.
Teacher (教員)Views assigned students and enters attendance and grades. Depending on the school's settings, registers new students directly or by request.
Career advisor (就職支援担当)Handles employment and internship support and alumni information.
International office (留学生担当)Handles residence status and daily-life support for international students.
School counselor (スクールカウンセラー), School social worker (スクールソーシャルワーカー)Handle consultation records in Counseling support (相談支援). Pages for other work are not shown.
School nurse (養護教諭)Records health room visits, check-outs and health checkups (teachers can also record a visit when the nurse is away). Also keeps the school lunch allergy register.
Support (サポート担当)Helps investigate problems, only within the scope and period the school permits. Cannot use announcements or messages (連絡) and is never a recipient.
RoleWhat it can generally do
Student (学生)Checks their own attendance, grades, fees and career-related information, and submits requests.
Guardian (保護者)Checks attendance, grades and fee information for linked students.
Alumni (卒業生)Manages their own alumni profile.
Recruiter (採用担当者)Handles job and recruitment information within the scope the school has approved.

Role names are the same on every screen, including the account menu, Invitations and bulletin recipients. However, some school types show names suited to the business, such as Instructor (指導員) and Front desk (受付) at driving schools, or Teacher (講師) and Student (生徒) at cram schools and lesson schools.

If a page you need is not shown, or an action button cannot be pressed, your role may lack the permission, or the page may be outside your contracted plan or modules. Roles are assigned and changed by administrators, so please ask your school's administrator. For plan restrictions, see How pages outside your plan or modules appear, and who to ask.
